Let Us Pray

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen.

THANK GOD FOR MISSIONARIES

Think about it for a moment, we have all been commanded by Christ to "go into all the world and preach the GOOD News to everyone." This means, that in order for us to fulfill the Great Commission, we would have to sell everything we own, tell family and friends goodbye, go to a foreign country, and learn a new culture and language!

But God has called certain people to go as missionaries. That means that we don't all have to go physically. We can fulfill Christ's command by sending others. As it relates to missions, there are three types of Christians: those who go, those who send and the disobedient!

So the next time a missionary visits your church, thank God that you can stay at home and still be obedient to Christ by supporting the missionary to go on outreach !

When I was working in Armenia, alongside very young missionaries, I was in awe at their commitment.
Pastor Jacob Pursley had written "The Agarak team and church continues to serve our brothers and sisters from Artsakh. They made a communal bathhouse in this village. They work on a daily basis in other villages remodeling and running water lines etc…. With pure love and joy they serve those who were forced to flee, and were placed in villages in the Syunik Region."

Missionary Jonathan Begley's post in October 2023

"Very excited to finish this project! Out of the six houses given to refugees in Tkhkut, a very small village, only one had running water. Artur's home had a very old, run down shower house under the front porch with a water line nearby. After talking with him and the mayor, we ended up completely renovating it! We took out the broken wood burning water heater and put in an electric one, repaired the walls and ran water and electric lines. This is outside his house, so he agreed that all the people in the village without a shower could come and use it any time! Thank you all for your support! Without you, none of this would be possible. Please pray with us that through meeting people's physical needs, it leads to conversations about their spiritual needs!"

Missionary Jonathan Begley's post in November 2023

"The last few weeks have been extremely busy but very rewarding! With the help of Samaritan’s Purse, on November 12th, three semis full of over 165,000 pounds of fire “bricks” arrived in Meghri. This was a huge answer prayer! It’s enough wood for all Artsakh families in the Meghri region to get through the winter! This also began some very hard work. After the semis were unloaded with a crane they were either loaded into a dump truck or hand loaded into a van. Then we would drive to villages and unload and carry the bundles into each home. Some of these homes were simple and we did a short assembly line but others were very difficult with long trails or lots of stairs. It was amazing all the help the Lord sent right in time for this work. We had four extra people staying at our house at the time, including my sister Leah, all ready to help. Also the villagers that all came out not just to carry their own wood, but also their neighbors'. 5 days later all the wood was given out or stored for the families that still haven’t arrived.

Also on November 15th we had a dinner for all Artsakh people in our region. It went amazing! There were around 200 people in attendance. It was amazing to watch people connect with others, share stories and break bread together. After we ate, we split the children and adults up and both heard a very clear gospel message! We gave out Bibles and blankets to wrap it all up. Amazing how so many of these people have become like family over the last couple of months!

Thank you to everyone that has prayed, encouraged, and gave during this time! You’ve all had a part in this work."
